Our Annual General Meeting will be held on the 9 th November 2015,starting at 7.15 pm at the Rose Green.
If any members would like to attend and maybe take part in any voting we would be happy to see you there.
Christmas Party and Presentation Evening 2015
Following on from the success of last years Christmas Party, this years event is to be held again at Glossop Golf Club and is to take place on Friday 4th December 2015 commencing at 7.30pm.
The evening will follow last years popular format and will include an extensive buffet meal followed by musical entertainment for dancing to be provided again as last year by Steve Kenny.
During the evening trophies will be presented to the winners of the various club competitions and awards from throughout the season will be made.
This is a great way to kick off the festive season and was highly popular last year so come along and enjoy a great evening out. Tickets are £15 per person and are available from the following club members:

Summer Bowling Day Trip
The annual summer bowling day trip has been organised this year for Sunday 21st June 2015. The trip is to travel by coach to the Rose’n Bowl facility at Bacup Lancs where there will be a bowling contest open to all attendees followed by a dinner in the late afternoon. So far the trip has attracted a lot of interest with many tickets sold. If you wish to go please contact Barbara Taylor to buy tickets or contact the club secretary.

Sad News
It is with great sadness that we record the recent death of Joe Bassett. Joe was a past President and Chairman of Manor Park Bowling Club and a life member. He will be greatly missed by all his bowling colleagues and friends at the club and also by the many friends he made at other clubs during his long bowling career. We extend our condolences to Joe’s family at this sad time.
Joe’s funeral is to be held at the Central Methodist Church Glossop on Thursday 5th March 2015 at 11.30am.

Club Christmas Party & Presentation Evening A Great Success
The party was held on Friday 5th December at Glossop Golf Club and a great time was had by all. The venue, food and entertainment were excellent making the event a great success. Many thanks to all the staff at the golf club who made us very welcome and did a great job on the night, to the entertainer whose music had the members up gyrating for most of the evening and also to the bowling club members who assisted with the raffle and the presentation. Photos taken of the presentation and also of the event in general will appear on the Gallery page in due course, watch this space. Put December 4th in your diary for next year’s party (the golf club venue has already been booked).
