Presentation Evening – December 2022

It was wonderful to see so many members of the bowling club for the 2022 Presentation Evening at Glossop Golf Club. The first such Christmas get together for 3 years given previous restrictions. We all enjoyed great hospitality, a fun night with entertainment from Steve Martin, tasty buffet, singing, dancing, and trophy presentations by Mayor Ollie Cross. Winter Bowling

Please note that due to very wet weather conditions, the start of winter bowling has moved to Sunday 4 December. You can sign-up to play by clicking on “Winter Bowling” on the website menu.

Presentation Evening 3rd December

Places for the Christmas Bash/Presentation Night are going quickly, but its not too late to reserve your place. The event is being held at Glossop Golf Club on Saturday 3rd December 2022 from 7pm onwards. There will be a buffet meal, raffle, presentation of awards, entertainment from Steve Kenny and a disco at the end. The cost of the places is £20 each.

End of Season Triples Round Robin

Sunday 16th October

10:30am Start, Arrive from 10am onwards

£2 Entry Fee

The season is coming to a close and we are holding our Closing Day Competition which will be a Triples Round Robin taking place on Sunday 16th October.

Anyone who has played in the teams or taken part in our social sessions are welcome to join us. The triples will be evenly matched to ensure fair and enjoyable matches throughout the day.

The top green will close for the season after this competition has finished bringing an end to a successful season for the club overall.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible there on the day.

Promotion for North Derbyshire Vets Team

Congratulations  to our North Derbyshire Vets team who secured promotion to Division A after Glossop beat Cote Heath in the final game of the season.  Cote Heath only managed 94 points meaning Major Park leapfrogged them into second place.

The team won 10 out 18 matches with captain Bryan Buckland leading by example by  winning 7 out of 10 of his games.
