Both the Semi-finals and the final of the Harold Ingerson trophy will take place on Sunday 3rd September at Manor Park. The Semi-final matches will commence at 11 am and after a short break the final will take place bringing to an end what has proved to be a very successful and enjoyable competition.

A county bowls final was abandoned after an argument erupted when a player appeared to headbutt an opponent, who fell and broke a finger.

The Hampshire County Men’s Final between Southsea Waverley and Boscombe Cliff was held in Southampton on Sunday.

A Boscombe player squared up to an opponent after a dispute over “bowls etiquette”, reports the Bournemouth Echo.

The team were in great form, beating King George B team by 13.5 – 3 on 2nd August.  We had 7 away winners (10.5 points) and won the aggregate by 179 – 171 (3 points). Keep it up everyone!

Members of the Chadstone Bowls Club in Melbourne’s southeast have released a parody version of Beyonce’s ‘All the single ladies’ in a bid to save their beloved club.

The video, featuring choreographed moves and their own take on the world-famous lyrics, was uploaded to Facebook. It has since had over 500,000 views. 

The three stars of the video, Terry Foster, 82, Janine Hall, 82, and Wyn Hewett, 72 sing “All the bowling ladies, all the bowling ladies…”

“We love our club, we’ve had enough, we want to keep fit and this is it, please don’t take it from me.”

The club is at risk of redevelopment, with the local council announcing it is the preferred site for a new sports stadium.

In the Tameside Ladies league – we won 9 – 4 against Dukinfield Park B on 19th July,

In the Stockport Vets league – we lost 84 – 47 against High Lane on 24th July.

In the High Peak Mixed Pair league – we lost 83 – 51 against Rams Head on 18th July.
