At last night’s AGM David Elshaw was elected as Secretary after Bryan Buckland stepped down.  Dave will be assisted by Ed Mountfield.  Jane Ingerson was elected as Vice Chair after Maureen Hargreaves stepped down.   Both Neal Linsky (Chair) and Dewi Howell (Treasurer) were re-elected to their respective roles.

The club wish to express their thanks to both Bryan and Maureen for their commitment and hard work over the last few years.

Thanks to those members who helped clear the green of leaves this morning.  We will do another clearance once all the trees have shed their leaves.

This years AGM will be held on Thursday 2nd December at 7.15 pm at the Commercial  Inn, Manor Park Road. All members are entitled to attend and are encouraged to do so.

A preliminary agenda has been emailed to members. A final agenda with reports will be issued week commencing 22nd November.

League Bowling has now finished for this season.  This is how our teams ended up:-

North Derbyshire:  Played 12 Won 5 Lost 7.  Finished 4/8
Longdendale:  Played 12 Won 7 Lost 5.  Finished 3/7
Stockport Vets Pairs:  Played 18 Won 11 Lost 7.  Finished 4/10
High Peak Mixed Pairs:  Played 12 Won 5 Lost 7.  Finshed 6/7

The nights may be drawing in but we will keep our greens open for as long as possible, weather permitting.   Today we mowed both greens and we will keep doing so just as long as the grass keeps growing.

Last year we closed the green at the end of October so we probably have another 4 weeks left to enjoy bowling.
