Social bowling is an important activity within the club. It offers a level of essentially informal bowling during the week and at weekends. It’s fun and is very popular and costs just £12 per year.
Whilst being a great way to enjoy bowling for fun it offers a friendly way for people new to crown green bowling to try out the sport. Also, as team players often attend to practice their skills, it gives scope for informal coaching for less experienced players.
As a social member you are welcome to attend any of the sessions held in the week and at weekend. At these sessions training and coaching are usually available or you can just get together with other members to play a game or two.
Additionally social members are welcome to use the club greens at any time during the week or at weekend (subject to league match usage) and can also take part in the many club competitions held throughout the season.
The cost of social membership is £12 per year.
As we have two greens at the club we are also able to offer throughout the season informal bowling on the lower level green to non members at weekend for a modest charge.
Local clubs, schools and associations are very welcome to join us if they are thinking of adding crown green bowling as an activity for their members. We already support a number of local organisations in this way. If this is something your organisation wishes to consider then please contact the Club Secretary (see Contacts page) to discuss the best way this can be achieved to suit your requirements.
