The top green will therefore be closing on 31 October.<\/p>\n<p>However, the club is keeping the bottom green open over the winter months\u00a0 The bottom green isn&#8217;t in as good a condition as the top green, but the club has plans to improve the playing surface by carrying out additional scarifying, aerating and applications of moss killer.\u00a0 In addition, we have asked the council&#8217;s park staff to assist our green team with leaf clearance, which is always a problem at this time of the year, due to overhanging trees.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Unfortunately the time has come for us to close the top green to protect the playing surface over the winter months so it can be in top condition when the season starts again in April.
