Mark"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Club Mark Page<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bowlingmanorpark.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/clubmark.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-74\" src=\"http:\/\/www.bowlingmanorpark.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/clubmark.jpg\" alt=\"clubmark\" width=\"298\" height=\"169\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Manor Park Bowling Club was the first Crown Green Bowling Club in the country to obtain this prestigious accreditation in 2010 due to the dedicated efforts of our late ^treasurer Dave Collier and his fellow committee members.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Club Mark<\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b> is a universally acknowledged cross sport accreditation scheme run by Sport England for community sports clubs <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">which must be supported by specific evidence.<\/span> <\/b><\/span><\/span><b>Based on four key areas of club development it centres around:<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Club Management<\/strong><b>:<\/b>\u00a0 focuses on club and committee structures and the general running of the organisation with particular emphasis to the following:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Insurance<\/span>:\u00a0 Making sure that the insurance covers all activities that the club delivers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">National governing body affiliation:<\/span>\u00a0 This ensures that the club will be able to enter leagues and competitions governed by the national body, together with the training and qualification of coaches.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Club constitution:<\/span>\u00a0 Consists of a document outlining the clubs functions, membership procedures, meeting cycles and committees etc. A constitution helps clarify how the clubs procedures, work and it is important that it does not prelude membership on disciplinary grounds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Codes of conduct for coaches,<\/span> officials and volunteers: \u00a0Developing, promoting and adopting good \u2018codes of conduct\u2019 for club members with specific tasks to help identify standards of acceptable behaviour.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Action planning:<\/span>\u00a0 Preparing action plans that are realistic, achievable and relevant to the clubs aims and needs.\u00a0 This helps with obtaining funding from local and national bodies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Activity\/playing programs:<\/strong><\/span><b>\u00a0 <\/b>this includes coaching qualifications, insurance and coach to participant ratios and includes<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Competitive structures:<\/span>\u00a0 Developing competitions, participation in local leagues and inhouse club competitions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Club coaching sessions:<\/span>\u00a0 Weekly coaching sessions and training of new coaches.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Codes of conduct:<\/span>\u00a0 The club should have straightforward codes of conduct that allows coaches to understand their role within the club and what is expected of them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Professional indemnity and public liability insurance:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Duty of care and welfare:<\/strong><b>\u00a0 <\/b>child protection policies, health and safety policies, appropriate risk assessment, compliance and training.\u00a0 It is the duty of every club to give serious consideration to the manner in which it conducts its activities and to take all reasonable steps to ensure that participants, visitors and volunteers can enjoy the sport offered by the club in a safe environment.\u00a0 This is particularly relevant in regard to the safety and welfare of young sports participants and vulnerable adults.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Club venue:<\/span>\u00a0 It is important that the club ensures that the venue and the equipment it uses are fit for the purpose for the age groups and ability levels using them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Health and Safety:<\/span>\u00a0 Abide by the NGB\u2019S rules and codes of conduct relating to safety and best practice relating to their sport.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">First Aid:<\/span>\u00a0 The club should have qualified first aiders available for functions and events.\u00a0 The club should have one or more first aid kits and be able to deal with minor accidents\/injuries swiftly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Record keeping and reporting of incidents and accidents:<\/span>\u00a0 The club should have records of names, addresses and contact details of members and the facility to record any accident\/incident.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Knowing your club and community<\/strong>:<\/span><b>\u00a0 <\/b>this ensures that your club is committed to fairness and equality in the way it seeks to attract and retain members of the local community.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Clubmark<\/strong><\/span> clubs are committed to ensuring that they are accessible to the local community.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Also that they are proactive in the encouragement of new members from the local
