Participating in Bowling

Working to Meet the Different Needs of New and Existing Club Members

A lot of work has been focused on increasing club membership. Every year we  welcome new members to our club. To encourage both new members and our existing members to participate in club bowling we are trying to develop strategies that meet all members requirements.

Below there is a list of the social bowls taking place each week. It is aimed at different levels of expertise. This runs alongside the team play in league matches.

There are also plans being formulated for monthly competitions such as round robin,  knockout, and pairs. Notification of these will be by email and on the web site.

If you have any queries on involvement at any level or suggestions on how we can improve our club do speak to any team captain or contact us by email.

Social Bowling Stages

Stage One

Starter training sessions are on Tuesday morning, 10.00 to 11.30.
Alternative times can be arranged for those who are not available during the day.
At Manor Park there is free membership available for the season for those who are new to bowling. Coaching is available and a choice of bowls to try out to match individual requirements.

Stage Two

The next level is our Sunday morning social session. This is when we have mini matches with a mix of new and more experienced players. All the skills covered in the Tuesday sessions can be put into practice whilst acquiring knowledge of the game of bowls from our team players.

Stage Three

Become a member of one of our teams. A list of all leagues we play in is on this web site.

By offering bowling opportunities at different levels we hope to match the social and physical needs of all those who join us at Manor Park. If you need any more information go to our web site, contact us at bowlingmanorpark@yahoo.com or turn up at our Tuesday/Sunday bowling sessions.
