High Peak Mixed Pairs in close win

Well done to the High Peak Mixed Pairs team who won 69 – 67 in a closely fought match against Peak Dale at home on 30th May.

It was only their second win of the season which went down to the final game played by Maureen Hargreaves and Philip Dalziel who prevailed with a 21 – 14 victory.

Harold Ingerson Knock Out Cup

Members have until 31st May to register for the Harold Ingerson Knock Out cup competition, details of which can be found on the website.

To date 17 members have entered, so if you want to be included put your name down on the sheet at the clubhouse. Entrance fee is £2 per person.

In the Tameside Vets league we lost 8 – 6 against Ceder B on 17th May.

In the North Derbyshire league we won 131 – 113 against Spring Gardens on 25th May.

In the Tameside Ladies league we won 69 – 45 against Stalybridge Rec B in the Lil Lawton Knock out cup on 24th May.

In the Longdendale league no match was played.

In the Stockport Vets league we lost 84 – 36 against Great Moor 3 on 22nd May.

Harold Ingerson Cup

Players wishing to enter should place their name in the space provided at the end of the document at the clubhouse. Entrance fee £2 per person.  The cup is a knockout competition.   Players will be paired up and each pair must play their fixture within the round’s specified i.e. end of June for the first round.

The first player named will be responsible for contacting their opponents and arranging date and time to suit both players. Each match to be 21 up with the winner being forwarded to the next round. All matches in each round must be played within the round’s time limit.

Any player who does not turn up for an arranged match, or who fails to make themselves available to play within the rounds time limit without good reason will forfeit the match.  This cup is open to all Manor Park Bowling Club members, full and social.

Where it is deemed necessary by the organisers a handicap will be given to less experienced players playing a more experienced one, in the first round only.

Summer Bowling Day Out On Sunday 25th June

day out pictureThere are just a few places left for the annual summer bowling day out on Sunday 25th June, at Guys Thatched Hamlet, Billsborrow, Nr Garstang.  The price of £30 includes coach, entrance to the bowling competition, followed by dinner in the evening. • Tameside Ladies Bowling League Knock out Cup was drawn. We are playing
Stalybridge Rec ‘B’ at Cedar Park on 24th May.

• Presentation night is now on 24th November at  Dukinfield Masonic
Hall 7.30pm to 11pm . Bring your own food and drink.

Chair Lady clarified that the home teams can practice for any length of
time before the match e.g. 6pm to 6.45pm but the away team practice is
15 minutes prior to match.
